Based on what we have learned, do you have some ideas about what might be the root cause of the behaviors you want to target? For example, if you are observing classroom behaviors at transitions, is it possible students are feeling a lack of control due to unpredictability in their day? If you are observing a student who seems unmotivated, does it happen when presented with challenging tasks or certain times of the day? Ask yourself the “why” question several times to dig down a little deeper and identify a potential trigger.
Respond with your reflections here. It will help you process your thoughts. Your process can help others process theirs.
